Photos and captions that recorded the intimate evening of a maritime concert fundraiser for Maine’s First Ship. Led by Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee with a special appearance by Gordon Bok, it was a night to remember.
As a longtime Gordon Bok fan and a friend of Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee (performing as Castlebay), I was thrilled to be able to document this amazing event. An evening with eight fabulous Maine musicians immersed in maritime song, history and folklore.
Performing that evening in the inaugural maritime focused concert in our Historic Bath Freight Shed were: Stephen Sanfilippo, Paddy Mills, Jamie Beaton, Gordon Bok, Charlie Ipcar, Troy Bennett, and Julia Lane & Fred Gosbee performing as Castlebay.
Each photo is accompanied by a short descriptive paragraph capturing the vibes of the interactions between performer and audience.
Gordon Bok, is a friend of Maine shipbuilding and particularly Maine’s First Ship. He was the first musician to sign on for the wonderful maritime concert music and banter filled evening.
