My 3 Words – 2012

This is the first instance I can find where I’ve written down My 3 Words and they are:

Family

Collaboration

(building) Bridges

My 3 Words began as an exercise introduced by Chris Brogran. This is the earliest instance I can find of me writing a piece that acknowledges its importance and impact on my planning and achieving goals for the year. I have been observing this annual ritual every year since.

In 2012 access to information will continue to be a more required universal right. Borders and boundaries will continue to be challenged by Social Media tools that are creating a new world of Social Business.

We make choices every day by what we choose to support with our money, our time, and our presence. The real time web in 2012 will continue to drive the results of those choices even faster.

So choose wisely.

Choose wisely how and where you spend your time and money.

My 3 Words – the process

My 3 Words for 2012 is from an annual ritual I learned and adapted from author and thought leader Chris Brogan.

I will use these words as I define my goals for the year. They will also help me filter my experiences during the year, guiding decisions and actions that will make it a good year.

Family – is important. Support, security and pleasure come from a safe loving space.

Collaboration – clearly few can “do it alone” very well. Collaboration insures better results and stronger bonds.

Bridges – the world is full of diversity. Building bridges to other humans and respecting who and what has come before us, can make a difference.
